Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology is a subspecialist field within radiology, where radiologists use image guidance to perform a vast array of treatments for many medical conditions.

Interventional Oncology
Interventional oncology is an emerging subspecialist field within interventional radiology, which uses minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to treat cancer patients.

Interventional Phlebology
Interventional Phlebology uses image guidance to establish vascular access, diagnose and treat varicose veins, vascular malformations, venous thrombosis and venous insufficiency.
Interventional radiology and oncology procedures are performed on a day-only basis and can often be performed with local anaesthetic or sedation alone. Consequently, recovery times are usually quick and complications are reduced when compared to open surgical procedures.
Dr Baker is based at Westmead Public Hospital with VMO appointments at Royal North Shore Hospital, The Mater Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital.
